Bob Seger - Greatest Hits
說起 Bob Seger，不太確定如何形容他，雖然他16歲就踏入搖滾歌壇，但在鄉村搖滾與流行搖滾的分界上，卻很難被定位。

1945出生的 Bob Seger，在1975年組成了個人專屬的樂隊 - The Silver Bullet Band (銀彈樂隊)，1976年發行第一張專輯「Night Moves」，由於專輯中歌曲探討了許多美國的藍領階級生活，因此也得「藍領搖滾歌手」支撐，名號雖不若 Bruce Springsteen 響亮，卻也獲得廣大的迴響與支持。
「Against the Wind」是首非常好聽的鄉村搖滾，加上了旋律優美的鍵盤，讓這首歌增色不少。

近期在 Nicolas Cage 與老牌演員 Michael Caine 所主演的「氣象先生」(The Weather Man, 2005) 的影片中，飾演老父的 Michael Caine 得了癌症，去日無多，而家人為他舉辦「生前葬禮」時，Nicolas 的演講稿便以這首歌的歌詞詞意來表達他對父親的想法與愛；雖然無厘頭地在演講當時只講了兩句便停了電無法繼續，但可想而知的是，得過普利玆文學獎的父親顯然無法理解為何兒子說他「像顆石頭」....於是去找來這首歌，在車上播放跟兒子確認，當兒子的才有機會得以一清前恥：「父親，對我而言，您就像個岩石般的堅強如一」。
那未能說出口的心情，終於在歌曲中訴盡。
