荒城の月

瀧廉太郎トリビュート - 荒城の月

「荒城の月」是應東京音樂學校(今東京藝術大學音樂部)改革音樂教材，由詩人土井晚翠(1871~1952)以福島縣會津若松市的鶴ヶ城，與自己故鄉宮城縣仙台市的青葉城發想，為「荒城の月」的命題，創作了四段歌詞，道出詩人被舊城遺跡喚起的惆悵；作曲家瀧廉太郎(1879~1903)前往位於自己少年時期的故鄉，大分縣竹田市的岡城遺址尋求靈感，於1901年誕生了這首不朽名曲。

有多不朽呢？

1997年4月起，日本NHK以BS 群星放送為主，在日本全國展開了投票調查：「BS20世紀日本のうた」活動，投票是以《20世紀中感動全日本的歌曲》為主題，1人最多投3票，至12月末結束，最終結果於次年1月19日發表。

根據投票結果來看，全國不論男女老幼約有1775萬人参加了投票。

這場大規模的、没有限定對象，只是以日本歌曲(含歌謠曲、童謠、歌唱歌曲)的範圍來決定投票的活動，獲得榜首的是「美空ひばり」(美空雲雀) 的「川の流れのように」(「似水流年」，獲得437,518票)，而這首1901年的「荒城の月」高居在第七名。

也是阿爸的愛歌之一。

說起 Bob Seger，不太確定如何形容他，雖然他16歲就踏入搖滾歌壇，但在鄉村搖滾與流行搖滾的分界上，卻很難被定位。

於是，如果告訴你1983年由 Kenny Rogers 與 Sheena Easton 所合唱的「We've Got Tonight」，原作原唱便是 Bob Seger，那麼還可能增加一點你對他的印象。

1945出生的 Bob Seger，在1975年組成了個人專屬的樂隊 - The Silver Bullet Band (銀彈樂隊)，1976年發行第一張專輯「Night Moves」，由於專輯中歌曲探討了許多美國的藍領階級生活，因此也得「藍領搖滾歌手」支撐，名號雖不若 Bruce Springsteen 響亮，卻也獲得廣大的迴響與支持。

「Against the Wind」是首非常好聽的鄉村搖滾，加上了旋律優美的鍵盤，讓這首歌增色不少。

近期在 Nicolas Cage 與老牌演員 Michael Caine 所主演的「氣象先生」(The Weather Man, 2005) 的影片中，飾演老父的 Michael Caine 得了癌症，去日無多，而家人為他舉辦「生前葬禮」時，Nicolas 的演講稿便以這首歌的歌詞詞意來表達他對父親的想法與愛；雖然無厘頭地在演講當時只講了兩句便停了電無法繼續，但可想而知的是，得過普利玆文學獎的父親顯然無法理解為何兒子說他「像顆石頭」....於是去找來這首歌，在車上播放跟兒子確認，當兒子的才有機會得以一清前恥：「父親，對我而言，您就像個岩石般的堅強如一」。

那未能說出口的心情，終於在歌曲中訴盡。

絕版經典～Topas／黃玉

Topas 德文的意思是黃玉，因此台灣直接翻譯為「黃玉合唱團」。但，是團體或個人，眾說紛紜。

有一說這支團體的團員大多是來自義大利與奧地利的樂手所組合而成，團長兼主唱者 Topas 也擔任吉他手，1980年他們出了一張空前絕後的專輯，專輯名稱以團長 Topas 命名。而由於這張專輯簡介中並沒有任何團員的介紹，而且在這之後他們就從歌壇消聲匿跡，於是有另一說，Topas 並非團名，而是僅由奧地利籍的 Topas 一人創作，找了幾位樂手包括 Michael Cretu (知名歌曲有「Moonlight Flower」)等人玩票製作而成的專輯。

儘管 Topas 並未真正大紅大紫，但這張只有8首歌卻各自有著不同曲風，支支動聽的專輯肯定是值得收藏的。

那時我才小學，金車麥根沙士以Topas的這首「Days Of Summer」作為廣告歌曲，大大地吸引了我；為了這首歌，我艱辛地打工幫水果攤阿桑賣玉蘭花，攢著存下來的以及零用錢，買了一張時值80元的廣告合輯卡帶(封面是整片藍色)，用著家裡那單卡的機器重複蹂躪著卡帶。每次聽著，總是閉上眼睛，想像自己舒適地徜徉，如同自由的小鳥兒遨遊天際。後來擁有專輯後整張聆聽，發現其他如「From coast to coast」、「Hello and goodbye」、「Train to an Island」與「Alasca」都是很棒的歌曲，在當時算得上是(前衛)搖滾的「Lemon Boy」，跟 Moody Blues 的交響搖滾相互呼應著，也曾帶給我不少聽歌的享受與樂趣。

形容作曲者心中那一塊夢土的「Alasca」，迷離中充滿期盼有如囈語的輕吟，也總讓人彷若置身虛無縹緲的空靈間，擁抱冥想的夢境。
