Popped In Souled Out (1987)
首張專輯「Popped In Souled Out」由資深靈魂樂製作人 Willie Mitchell 負責，專輯甫一推出雖榮登英國排行榜冠軍，但銷售狀況並未如預期，其中美妙輕快的動人情歌「Angel Eyes」也登上英國流行榜第5名；於是他們緊接著在 1988 年發行第二張專輯「The Memphis Sessions」，然而和第一張一樣，銷售上並沒有取得傲人的成績。
但這首「Angel Eyes」，卻是這個樂團，我最喜愛的一首，每次看著 MV 裡主唱 Marti 開心並微笑地唱著、露出他那可愛的小犬齒時，就忍不住想到「吸血鬼出現了...」！

1988 年是 Wet Wet Wet 的一個轉折點。雖然前兩張專輯銷售不佳，但卻有5首單曲獲得不錯成績，當中包括翻唱的「With A Little Help From My Friends」。成名之後，主唱 Marti 應邀出席了 Prince (王子) 的「Trust」演唱會，並與 Joe Cocker (喬卡克) 一齊演唱了這首翻唱曲，此後他們還為 Elton John (艾爾頓強) 的全美巡迴演唱做過暖場的演出，也再接再厲地於 1989 年推出第三張專輯「Holding Back the River」，只是樂團本身在此刻似乎已陷入創作瓶頸，使得他們對創作的熱情減退，雖然他們明顯地感受到自己在樂壇上的頹勢，對發行的專輯不敢掉以輕心，但卻仍似垂死的掙扎一般，持續擺盪在音樂市場的繩索上；直到 1994 年他們隨著 Hugh Grant (休葛蘭) 與 Andie MacDowell (安蒂麥道威爾) 主演的浪漫喜劇電影「Four Weddings and a Funeral」(妳是我今生的新娘／四場婚禮及一場葬禮) 翻唱了 Troggs 的經典老歌「Love Is All Around」站上美國、英國及澳洲排行榜冠軍之後，才真正嚐到了成功的滋味，登上了事業的巔峰。
